That definitely helped the consistency. I've also read that you can save the cooking liquid (boiled or steamed) and add that to the blender/food processor until you get the right consistency. We've done rice cereal, sweet potatoes, applesauce, avocado, and I think I'm going to try bananas or carrots next. Also, I take a "beyond newborns" class and the topic last week was solids. The teacher said that recent studies have shown high amounts of arsenic in rice cereal, even organic. They suggested doing organic oatmeal cereal instead of rice. I haven't gotten any yet, but plan to try it. Just my two cents... love the pictures!Team Copoulshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05762472444107557210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6177356851559210363.post-16742207797452080772011-10-04T10:01:47.616-04:002011-10-04T10:01:47.616-04:00We tried again last night and she liked them a lot...We tried again last night and she liked them a lot better. I think she just needs a few tries to get used to the taste. But if she seems to be struggling with any new foods, I will definitely try mixing them with other things!Morrisonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08507038845229200198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6177356851559210363.post-23511955546310299132011-10-03T19:54:40.860-04:002011-10-03T19:54:40.860-04:00We had the same reaction in our house. More like rice cereal with a little carrot flavoring. I've always had better luck that way. The pure food might be too much flavor at once for her! Over time, increase the carrot concentration.B-Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08889509365971309400noreply@blogger.com
