One of my favorite Christmas traditions -- the kids making cookies with Grandma!
This year, Sweet Pea went first. She insisted that she's never been first (debatable), and she was eager to make her thumbprint cookies. She did her usual trick of putting m&m's on some of them. This year, some of them even have jam and m&m's.
Bonus: the day Sweet Pea baked with Grandma, Aunt Sharon was visiting from New York! We all met up for lunch at one of our favorite spots. It's so nice to spend time with Sharon: she listens so well to all the kids' excited chatter, and always seems genuinely interested in their activities. She was thrilled to hear that Sweet Pea will be performing in New York next month, although unfortunately no family or friends are allowed in the theater.
Next was Little Man, who always makes the Christmas tree cookies with the cookie press. Apparently he really overdid the sprinkles on some of the cookies!

He likes making these cookies so much that I bought a cookie press of our own this year. But we have yet to use it. It comes with a bunch of different holiday-themed shapes, so maybe we'll try it for Valentine's Day or Easter.
Last but not least, CC made the molasses cookies with Grandma. These are also Grandpa's favorites, so he was thrilled when it was finally CC's turn!(However, next year, CC might change her cookie choice. She's been won over by Grandma's almond squares -- which are my favorites -- and she might want to make those in the future. We'll see!)
