Breaking News: Walking!

Little Man started walking today!  He's been so so so close for the last week, so I knew it would be any day now.  I was gone over the weekend (more on that in a later post), and I was afraid I'd miss it.  But he waited for me!

Every Monday I take the kids to see a wonderful children's musician perform at a large music store nearby.  And as he was singing his introductory song this morning, going around the room asking everyone's name, Little Man stood up and walked about 6 steps!  So when the musician asked for Little Man's name, I gave it and announced that he'd just taken his first steps.  And as if on cue, Little Man did it again, and everyone started cheering.

After the show ended and most of the other families were gone, I let the kids roam around to blow off some steam before we met MJ for lunch.  The musician hung around and chatted with us for a while, and told me how excited he was that Little Man took his first steps at the show.  He posed for a picture:

Then he used a tambourine to encourage Little Man to walk again so I could get it on video.

Feel free to ignore the little girl picking her nose at the end!  Ha ha

(In the first part, Little Man isn't walking unassisted, but I like it anyway because you can see CC and Sweet Pea in the background at the beginning.)
