Day Off

Last week, CC had a day off from school, while Sweet Pea and Little Man's preschool was still in session. So the "big girls" had a special day out! It was really nice to spend the morning with CC. She has such long days in kindergarten (9 am till 4 pm!), I don't get to see much of her, and it had been a while since we were just one-on-one.

We ran a few errands (CC picked Target, PetSmart and the grocery store), and then met Patrick for lunch. His new office is conveniently about 10 minutes away, and we'd already planned to have lunch together that day. CC was thrilled to join us. Interestingly, it was also the first time she'd seen Uncle Patrick in his Army uniform.

She wasn't shy at all, and chatted his ear off about kindergarten, ballet, and her loose tooth (going on four weeks now). She even got to sit in his truck afterwards.

"I'm so happy I got to see Uncle Patrick in his Army outfit!" she said on our way home. "Army uniform," I corrected her!
