Midnight Madness

Last night MJ thought it'd be cool to let the kids see the Super Blood Wolf Moon. They were excited at the idea, so we set our alarms and got them up at 12:15 am. They dragged themselves downstairs, put on their coats, and shuffled out into the front yard to stare into the sky.

"I thought it was going to be big," said Little Man with an accusatory tone.

"It's freezing!" whined CC.

"Can we wait inside?" asked Sweet Pea, tugging on my sleeve.

"Wait for what?" I asked. "The lunar eclipse is happening right now!"

"Wait for you and Daddy to be done," she said.

Sigh.

Fortunately they all went back to sleep right away. And MJ and I thought the dark orange moon was pretty cool.
