Last night was the event they've been waiting for all year ... Daddy Daughter Dance 2019!
This was Sweet Pea's first time going, and the first time MJ had two beautiful dates to accompany him. The girls were over the moon about going together. They decided early on that they wanted matching dresses, and fortunately a friend of mine had some we could borrow in (roughly) the right sizes. When it was time for me to do their hair, they both wanted fancy buns, but CC also wanted curly tendrils. Sweet Pea was adamant that she was "not in the mood for curls."
They looked like princesses! And they didn't want Daddy to know what the dresses looked like until the last minute, so as I was helping them get ready, there was much giggling and whispering and shutting of doors. But finally it was time for The Great Unveiling, and MJ was suitably impressed.
He had a surprise of his own for them: corsages! We've never purchased corsages for past dances, but we wanted to do something a little different since this was Sweet Pea's first time.
They double-dated with their bestie, Mia, and her dad, Dan. What a sweet group!
