Sleepovers

Now that Grandma and Grandpa are settled here, they're following through on their promise to have sleepovers for the grandkids!

Sweet Pea went first, last Saturday. She couldn't wait and was fully packed several days in advance.

The next morning, I asked Little Man -- normally very nervous about being alone at night -- how he managed to sleep without Sweet Pea in the room. "I covered my eyes with my blanket so I couldn't see her bed," he said. "And I just pretended she was there."

Last night was CC's turn -- on a Monday night! (The kids didn't have school today, for election day.)

Little Man's turn will be in two weeks, when Grandma and Grandpa get back from a trip to Connecticut. He has already decided that he will not sleep in the guest room like the girls did, though. He would prefer to sleep on an air mattress in Grandma and Grandpa's room, despite the fact that Sweet Pea warned him, "They both snore really loud!"
