Outing with Alice

We had our annual Christmas outing with Alice after Christmas this year, but it was just as special as always. She let the kids each pick out a book at the bookstore, and then we took her to lunch.

CC picked a book that Alice found for her: Tangled in Time. She is already halfway through it, and loves it! Sweet Pea picked a Lego Holiday Ideas book that came with the pieces to make a little reindeer. And Little Man picked a Star Wars box set with four short stories inside.

But for me, the best part was lunch, because then we could sit and talk while we enjoyed a nice meal. Sweet Pea tried mahi for the first time ("It's okay, but not as good as salmon."); Little Man tried a taste of Alice's salmon ("It's good! Tastes like chicken!"); and everyone got ice cream for dessert.
