Sweet Pea's Art

A few weeks ago, we were notified that a piece of Sweet Pea's art was selected to be displayed in our school district's Youth Art Month exhibit at a gallery downtown. What an honor! Only one piece from each grade at each school was chosen, so her pumpkin was chosen from the work of 150 other 1st graders.

This past week was the big event. Hundreds of people packed into the gallery for the reception and ceremony, and the kids came up on stage grade by grade. Sweet Pea received a certificate, lots of hugs and high-fives, and a celebratory dinner afterwards (with dessert!).

We're so proud of her!
