Over the weekend MJ and I surprised the kids by renting an enormous water slide! Hey, we can't have a birthday party for Sweet Pea and Little Man, so let's celebrate a different way instead!
We had it for three days. Unfortunately it wasn't the best weekend, weather-wise; it poured on and off every day. But that didn't dampen the kids' enthusiasm -- they were sliding even in torrential downpours, with thunder rumbling in the distance. The girls were definitely more into it than Little Man was, but he had his moments of crazy sliding, too. He was the only Morrison kid to slide headfirst ... on his back!
The thing took up almost our entire front yard. I'd wanted it to go in the backyard, but it wouldn't fit, so instead we were on display for the entire neighborhood. I felt a little bad, because under normal circumstances we would have invited all our friends to join us! But instead they walked by and watched as our whole family whooped and slid and splashed.
