Happy 10th Birthday, Dane!

Over the weekend we got together to celebrate Dane's 10th birthday. (First of all -- how is he ten?? And CC is right behind him ...) It's the first time we've been together since last winter, so it was wonderful but bittersweet to see them.

They are getting ready to move to Atlanta next week, on top of the pandemic, so they decided to have the party at an outdoor fun park. But first we met Memere and Pepere for pizza and cake (made by Memere, of course -- delicious and beautiful!).

Afterwards, the kids had a blast at the fun park! They played mini golf, raced go carts, and drenched each other on bumper boats.

A few rides were too intense or large for the kids, but that didn't stop me and Susan from sneaking off for a few minutes to ride "The Sidewinder," which was fun but terrifying!

"Today was amazing!" all the kids gushed afterwards. And it was a nice send-off for Jon, Susan, Dane and Hayden as they start the next chapter in their lives!
