We've been so locked down this year that we've only seen my parents a few brief times. So Memere and Pepere proposed that they take our kids one at a time for visits to their house. They were even willing to have them on school days, and help them with their virtual classes, homework, and piano practicing. Um ... yes.
CC went first, right after Dane's birthday party. She made pumpkin muffins with Memere, visited a real dairy farm to have homemade ice cream, and played endless games of Labyrinth.
Right afterwards, it was Little Man's turn. He was so excited about playing Labyrinth, having ice cream, watching a movie with Memere and Pepere, and getting home just in time to go trick or treating.
Sweet Pea went last, because she was very particular about which gymnastics sessions she was willing to skip. She even insisted on having a shorter visit, so she wouldn't miss more than one practice.
(Of course, that went straight out the window once she arrived. Sweet Pea called me after the first day to say that she'd decided to stay longer!)
