Easter Sunday

It was a blessed Easter! Not only did we have my extended family over, but Grandma and Grandpa came too, plus we celebrated CC's birthday! The weather was beautiful, the company was wonderful, and the gifts were generous.

MJ thought it would be a good idea to hold Amber in the family picture, but it didn't work out very gracefully ...

For the rest of the day, we enjoyed conversation, watched the kids play together, and ate some good food. Spending time with family is the best!

My mom made this beautiful (and delicious) strawberry birthday cake at CC's request, with chocolate cupcakes to round it out. 

Then CC opened her gifts, and all we heard for a while was squealing. Several gifts haven't arrived yet, but one of her favorites so far was a swim bag from Memere and Pepere with all her own gear (fins, kickboard, goggles) inside. 

At the end of the day, Memere and Pepere presented all 7 grandchildren with Easter gifts. It was like Christmas for a little while!

The Morrison trio received MP3 players, and they are thrilled! They've spent (blissfully quiet) hours listening to their favorite tunes through headphones ever since.
