Farm Visit

Day 1 of Spring Break: we visited a local farm, and got our fill of animals!

We fed the fish in their pond, then met one of their turkeys, Butterbean. "Cool!" said Little Man. "Turkey brains are on the outside of their heads!" Not true, although it looks that way! We also learned that turkey heads can change color from red to white to blue to purple, depending on their mood and whether they're trying to impress a female.

We fed the adult goats; pet the baby goats; and met the sheep and cows.

The baby goats were the highlight. They would jump right on you if you sat or crouched anywhere near them! I squatted down to take a picture and one of them immediately jumped on my back and started chewing my hair! Little Man thought it was hilarious.

And even more fun: we rode around the farm in a 4-wheeler!
