Last weekend my parents and I were able to attend my cousin Scott's party to celebrate his retirement from the Army. Scott is yet another great example of the Army tradition in our family! My dad swore him in (for the 2nd time) back in 2009, and now it's come full circle as Scott retires.
The nicest part was seeing family members for the first time in a while. I hadn't seen my Auntie Julie since my wedding!
Little Man had a baseball game, and MJ wasn't feeling great, so we left the two boys at home. CC and Sweet Pea came along with me and my parents, and we had a nice time. Not only did CC and Sweet Pea get to play with Scott's little grandchildren, but there were several dogs to pet. Scott's old firefighting buddies stopped by with the truck, and let the kids climb all over it. I thought maybe my girls might be "too big" to get excited by a fire truck, but I was happy to see them act just as excited as they used to when they were toddlers.
