Nutcracker(s)

This year we were lucky enough to attend three Nutcracker performances! Sweet Pea and I went with a group to see a bunch of their friends in a ballet performance, which was really fun. I had never attended a Nutcracker before! But I was very familiar with the music, and it was wonderful to see the ballet accompaniment.

A week later, the girls and I saw an arial adaptation of the Nutcracker, with their bestie Mia performing. It was awesome! Super cool to see artists on the trapeeze, silks, etc -- it was impressive and fascinating.

And just this week, MJ took CC to see the professional ballet production of the Nutcracker. This is the third time they've gone, and she looks forward to it every year. But due to Covid, they haven't been for several years, so she was on cloud nine this week as she counted down the days. We even blow dried her hair and put a little makeup on her!
