Oh Christmas Tree ...

Christmas preparations continue! Today we scurried out in between rain showers to a very muddy tree lot, and lo and behold, it was a Christmas miracle! The very first tree we saw was perfect, and we didn't even glance at any others. 

A few soggy minutes later it was on our car and headed home with us, and we spent the afternoon decorating it. It's definitely the fattest tree we've ever had, but we all agree it's definitely one of the best. It's so full and nicely shaped!

It's CC's year to put the star on the tree, and for the first time we saw a bit of reluctance. She wanted to put it on all by herself, but even after climbing on top of a stool on top of a chair, she couldn't reach. So after quite a bit of angst, she agreed to be lifted by Daddy. And now the tree is complete.
