Little Man's best friend from all the way in preschool, Brennan, had a rough end to his summer -- he ended up with a mysterious staph infection in his bone that put him in the hospital for 10 days, resulted in surgery, and stuck him in a wheelchair until he could bear weight on the leg again. It was a scary time, but thanks to God he's come through it really well, and has kept his trademark Brennan smile the whole time.
Having a strict "no physical activity" rule in place meant that he couldn't swim, run around, jump on the trampoline, or do any of the normal activities he and Little Man loved to do together. But they played chess, built Legos, goofed around with the wheelchair, and played more than their share of video games.
Thank God Brennan is okay, and that he and Little Man were able to spend so much time together this summer. I'm so thankful Brennan is thriving now, and that he and Little Man have such a sweet friendship!
