We celebrated CC's birthday first thing in the morning, because -- typical -- it was the only time we were all together. But she loved having donuts and a Starbucks Dragon Drink first thing in the morning. And naturally she insisted on wearing her brand-new Taylor Swift hoodie to school. (Thanks, Aunt Susan and Uncle Jon!)
That night, while Sweet Pea and MJ headed off to the Daddy-Daughter Dance, CC picked a sushi restaurant for dinner. And after everyone reconvened back at home, we sang one more time and enjoyed whoopie pies at CC's request. Yum!
The next day, we had her big birthday bash, with Memere and Pepere, Aunt Karen and Uncle Patrick, Braxton and Bryson, and even Miss Alice! Grandpa and Grandma came too, which was awesome, considering Grandpa is recovering from his latest joint replacement. CC loved being the center of attention, and was especially happy with all her "grown up" gifts.
She received her first Lululemon leggings from Grandpa and Grandma -- who coincidentally bought Anna her first pair, too! Memere and Pepere gave her a makeup mirror, and then she received a cosmetics organizer from Aunt Karen and Uncle Patrick. Can you tell what CC's into these days?

The rest of the day we just enjoyed being together. Miss Alice brought Johnny, who was shy but curious. Sweet Pea and Braxton had an epic standing-on-one-foot competition that ended with a win for Sweet Pea, to no one's surprise. (Braxton lasted an impressively long time, but he gave up when Sweet Pea started doing standing splits.) Bryson and Little Man played laser tag, and there was even a little piano playing off and on.
