CC's Ballet Recital

CC switched to a new dance studio this year, to focus more exclusively on ballet. This studio has a reputation for being very strict, which is exactly what CC wanted: teachers who would make sure she was doing everything right, and fellow students who love ballet as much as she does. And she has been very happy there! She took six classes every week, and it really shows: her technique has dramatically improved, and I was impressed by her gracefulness and musicality.

Last weekend was her big recital, and she was in five dances. The theme was Candyland, and she was a peppermint stick (Intermediate Foundations), a gumdrop -- twice -- (Grade IV in the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum), an ice cream swirl (Cecchetti 2), and a chocolate swirl (Lyrical).

I recorded 4 of her 5 numbers at the rehearsal, so it's not a perfect performance, but it is a good snapshot of where she is right now. We're so proud of all her hard work!
