Breaking News: Sweet Pea!

We're back from our Thanksgiving trip to visit MJ's family, and there will be a lot of pictures coming.  But in the meantime, there's big news: on Thanksgiving day, while the turkey was in the oven and extended family was in attendance, Sweet Pea decided not only to stand up by herself for the first time, but she also took her first steps!

As usual, she's marching to the beat of her own drummer.  Little Man learned to walk first, and later learned to stand alone, and only a few weeks ago learned to get into a standing position on his own.  Sweet Pea did things exactly opposite: Thanksgiving afternoon she was crawling along, and out of the blue she just stood straight up.

She did it over and over again, loving all the applause and praise she'd receive.  She was so proud of herself that she was sometimes laughing too hard to do it.

And about an hour later, after standing for the upteenth time, she took 4-5 steps straight into Grandma's arms.

Personally, I think she was waiting for an adequate audience before making her big move.
