Christmas Recap, Part II

When we returned from Christmas with my family, it was time to have our own small Christmas celebration.  After all, Santa had come while we were gone!  And plenty of friends, as well as MJ's family, had sent gifts for us to open and enjoy.

The peaceful scene before bedlam:

The ladybug and bumblebee-looking things on the far right are Wheelybugs, from Aunt Kelly and Uncle Brian.  They are so much fun!  CC whirls around the house at amazing speeds.  Right now Little Man and Sweet Pea are using them as push toys, but they are trying hard to figure out how to ride them.

Life after receiving all these Christmas toys has been loud, fun, exciting, loud, crazy, and LOUD.  Did I mention loud?  LOL.  One evening after dinner, MJ used his phone to record a few minutes of happy chaos here in our kitchen (ignore the mess, please!).  Yes, it's like this all the time now!!

The yellow shopping cart is actually a hand-me-down from a neighbor.  Since she happened to give it to me the week before Christmas, I decided to just add it to the other gifts under the tree.  Holy cow, is it ever a hit!  It is alternately a shopping cart, a doll stroller, an airplane, and (once) a taxi.  All three kids love that thing!  (Well, Little Man has a love/hate relationship with it.  He loves to push it around, but he hasn't figured out how to steer it.  He'll push it full-speed into the nearest wall and then, frustrated, collapse in a puddle of tears.)

Grandma and Grandpa's gifts to the twins were these Anywhere Chairs (complete with their names, although I've deleted them for the blog).  Little Man and Sweet Pea have been enjoying climbing all over them, just as CC did when she received one last year.

(Grandma and Grandpa's gift to CC was the bedding for her new big girl bed, which, I'm shocked to report, CC has never gotten out of, and where she's slept happily for every nap and nighttime in almost two weeks now.  Wow!)

And a picture I didn't get a chance to post from a few weeks back: CC helping Daddy put the star on the top of the tree.  Next year I will remember to decorate the tree first, and add the star at the end -- it makes for a much nicer picture when there are actually ornaments on the tree!

There you have it -- Christmas at the Morrisons'. I have a ton of other things to catch everyone up on, so stay tuned for a flurry of posts this week.
