Gardening

On a recent visit to Dollar Tree, I picked up a 3-pack of tiny terra cotta pots and let each kid pick out a pack of flower seeds. For a whopping $2, we had the beginnings of a fun spring project.

The kids painted their pots while it was raining (again) one afternoon. I wasn't kidding when I said the pots were tiny -- like only a bit bigger than a shot glass! But the kids had a good time decorating them anyway.

Once we finally got a break in the weather, we went outside with little gardening tools and filled the pots with dirt, planted our seeds, and watered them. Sweet Pea picked Morning Glories, CC picked Forget-Me-Nots, and Little Man picked Baby's Breath.

Now it's a waiting game until we see the first shoots poking up!
