Happy St Patrick's Day

Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Duit!

We woke up to discover that a leprechaun had been in our house last night, leaving little green footprints all over the kids' leprechaun traps! The tricky little guy did not get himself caught, but managed to steal the chocolate chips out of the traps anyway.

At Mass this morning, the kids behaved perfectly. Father ended with my favorite Irish blessing:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rains fall soft upon your fields,
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Even Amber got into the spirit!

MJ is resting (relatively) comfortably; corned beef and cabbage is simmering away on the stove; the kids and I plan to make green cookies later, and the sun is shining. Life is good.
