Birthday Outings

For her annual birthday outings with Sweet Pea and Little Man this year, Alice hit it out of the park. Little Man went to see the non-animated Lion King movie, and then to lunch at iHop.

"Best birthday outing ever!" he raved. (Our kids have very rarely seen movies in a theater, so this was a BIG DEAL.)

Sweet Pea vacillated between a few different options, but ultimately decided on a paint-your-own pottery date. She and Alice picked two things to paint: a donut piggy bank and an airplane treasure box. I was in New Jersey for Matt's funeral when Alice picked Sweet Pea up for her outings, so MJ took this picture:

A week later, the pieces were glazed and fired and ready to be picked up. Sweet Pea loves them!
