Happy birthday to our precious CC! This isn't the celebration we wanted for her, but she is taking the situation in stride, not complaining a bit about her cancelled birthday party. (For the record, she was planning on going to a movie with a group of friends.) I hope she always handles disappointments so well!
We will make the most of social distancing, and Zoom with her grandparents and cousins. CC is so loved, despite the fact that her friends and relatives can't hug her today. But MJ, Sweet Pea, Little Man and I will make up for it!
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder;
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger.
May you never take one single breath for granted.
God forbid love ever leave you empty-handed.
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean.
