We're not going to let a pandemic stand in the way of our Christmas fun! Last year -- Grandpa and Grandma's first Christmas in their new condo -- we started a new tradition of the kids making Christmas cookies with Grandma. And this year we still did it (although, like everything else during Covid, it looked a little different).
We decided to have the kids take turns, baking one at a time. And they each got to pick what kind of cookies they made.
CC drew the longest straw, so she went first. She picked molasses crinkles, because they're the closest to gingerbread.
Little Man picked spritzes, because you get to use a gun to squirt the cookie dough out. Grandma was impressed at what a good helper he was, especially since he never seems all that interested in cooking at home.
Sweet Pea picked thumbprint cookies, because they're her favorite ("and they're fun to make").
