This year, the girls had a big plan -- they would get some friends together and all dress as The Wizard of Oz characters. And it worked, except they couldn't get anyone to be the Tin Man or the Scarecrow (Little Man flatly refused). So: CC was Glenda the good witch; Mia was Dorothy; and Sweet Pea was the Cowardly Lion ("Except I'm not cowardly!").
Little Man was thrilled when Brennan came over yesterday for our neighborhood block party and costume parade, so they got to admire each other's costumes. Little Man was Wrecker -- a character from a Star Wars spinoff show -- and Brennan was a dead medieval knight.
CC invited three friends to come to our neighborhood to go trick or treating together: Scarlett, Clara, and Aviva. Clara helpfully dressed as the Wicked Witch of the West, but unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the Oz characters all together.
We even had a spooky dinner! Our annual mummy hot dogs made their regular appearance, but I added a creepy charcuterie platter. It was a hit -- especially the gummy eyeballs!
