This week we had our annual Christmas outing with Miss Alice. We went to the bookstore, where she let the kids each pick out a book. Then we took her to lunch. We look forward to it every year, and this year was no different!
CC was determined to get the third Harry Potter illustrated book, but even after seeing it on a shelf, she was deterred and ultimately ended up with The Book of Mythical Beasts and Magical Creatures. Little Man was convinced he'd get the Star Wars encyclopedia of characters, but once he was face-to-face with all the amazing Star Wars books, he couldn't pull himself away from The Secrets of the Sith. And Sweet Pea had no idea what she'd get ... until (with a little help) she spotted The Dog Encyclopedia for Kids, and she was hooked.
Alice and I were both impressed by their great choices! And we enjoyed a wonderful lunch afterwards. Thank you, Miss Alice!
