VBS

We've barely had a chance to start our summer break! School ended last Friday, and this Monday we rolled right into Vacation Bible School at our church. So it's another week of early wakeups, although the days are done at noon.

CC and I are helping out at VBS, while Sweet Pea and Little Man are campers. They are not entirely thrilled about it, since they are the oldest kids there and much of it is aimed at younger children. Still, I do see them actually having fun on occasion, when they think I'm not looking -- especially during the sports and science stations. And although Little Man refuses to sing or dance to any of the music, I have caught Sweet Pea humming some of the songs in the afternoons.

Next year all 3 will be old enough to volunteer. CC is really excited to be a counselor, but we'll see if Sweet Pea and Little Man get on board.
