Birthday Recap

How cool to celebrate your birthday at the beach! 

We did cake and (a few) presents for breakfast -- yummy! Then they picked the activities for the day: Little Man picked pirate-themed miniature golf, and Sweet Pea picked pony rides. We went to a fun restaurant for dinner, and ended the day with a long sunset walk on the beach.

We measured them when we returned home. Last year, Little Man caught up to CC and was taller at 5 than she had been at 6. But this year his growth must have slowed, because he was just a hair shorter than CC was last April when she turned 7. And Sweet Pea's catching up to him -- she's always been two inches shorter than Little Man, but this year she was shorter by just one inch.
