My belly continues to grow. But this past weekend when I saw my family, one sister-in-law swore I looked obviously pregnant, while the other sister-in-law was convinced that strangers wouldn't necessarily be able to tell. So I guess the jury's still out!
My ankle swelling has reared up again. During Mass on Sunday, I looked down and was dismayed to realize that my feet resembled overstuffed sausages about to pop! I suspect the swelling will come and go throughout the rest of my pregnancy, so I just try to drink a lot of water and keep my feet up as much as possible. I know, I know -- easier said than done!
Another symptom that has just recently started is restless leg syndrome. It's a very odd feeling, but when in the evenings when I'm sitting still (putting my feet up, for example), I have this twitchy, unmistakable urge to move my feet or legs. It's very annoying, but if I keep moving it's less noticeable. So now when I put my feet up or go to bed at night, I constantly wiggle my feet up and down, or back and forth, to keep the twitchiness at bay. As you can imagine, it's more than a little irritating -- and for MJ too!
