Week 36 Belly Pic

One month -- four weeks -- left!  I can't believe we're this close!  I am both overwhelmed with what's left to be done, and excited that we will finally meet our little one so soon.

At last week's doctor's appointment, my belly had gotten bigger but my weight had stayed the same (whew!).  I wasn't surprised that my belly was bigger; it really seemed to grow quite a bit at home, at least in my estimation.  So here's the photographic evidence:

I've been feeling a little better these last few days; at least I've been able to sleep at night.  My back pain isn't as bad, and the mysterious rib pain has all but disappeared, thank goodness!  I still have to wear the compression stockings every day (which don't eliminate the ankle/foot swelling, but they reduce it), and the carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrist is still present (although I'm basically used to it at this point).

All in all, I am really looking forward to all these symptoms disappearing after the baby is born, but I still feel lucky that my pregnancy has gone so smoothly!

P.S. A bit of good news: the furniture store called today to say they have been able to expedite things slightly.  The crib and dresser shipped Friday and should arrive in town within 9 business days.  Then they can be delivered here to the house.  So that puts us at the third week of March instead of the fourth.  Not perfect, but definitely better.
