Unfortunately, my computer died yesterday, and the nice man at the repair shop is pessimistic about the chances of recovering any of my data. Unless, of course, I am willing to pay a ton of money (not to him -- otherwise I would question his conclusion -- but to a high-level data recovery specialist). Sigh.
This is the second time a similar problem has occurred. I learned my lesson after the first time ... mostly. This time, I have almost all my data backed up, except for most of the everyday sorts of pictures of CC at home with us over the last four months, and the bulk of the shots taken in the hospital when she was born. I am torn about whether to spend the money to get them back. It's the hospital pictures, you guys! Like the one of me holding her for the first time, and the first picture of the three of us as a family. Sob!
The nice man told me he has one more thing to try in the morning, so I am trying to stay hopeful. But that's not the point of this post. I just wanted to let you all know that there might be a short hiatus in my blogging until I either a) get my computer back, all fixed and good as new, or b) get a brand-new computer altogether.
I'll keep you posted, and occasionally update the blog from MJ's work computer (as I am doing now).

Save the pics!!! We lost some of our videos from M's birth and we miss them dearly... Hopefully you won't have to make that decision, but I'll say that they are priceless!
