Week 16

My apologies for this post's delay; CC and I both caught a fairly nasty stomach bug over the weekend that laid us flat for several days.  We are both feeling better now, but we're hoping and praying MJ doesn't get it!

Here's how I am looking lately, and none too happy about it:

I feel like I am gigantic.  It may not seem like it in this picture, but I feel very heavy and large.  I told a friend of mine earlier today that I've reached the "muffin top" stage, where my jeans barely button and I look like I have love handles.  Lovely.  If I leave my pants unbuttoned, they start to fall off.  So I'm definitely in an "in between" stage, prior to really needing maternity pants, but not comfortably fitting into my pre-pregnancy pants, either.

I've gained about 16 pounds, which I consider impressive, since I didn't eat anything at all for several days while I was sick.  The babies are about the size of onions now, about 4.5 inches each.

I haven't felt any movement yet, but I'm expecting to start feeling these wee little ones anytime now.  Neither of the placentas is in front, as it was with CC, so I shouldn't have the same delay in feeling movement that I did with her.  I was hoping I'd feel movement sooner than usual, considering there are two little ones, but it doesn't seem like it!
