Happy Easter!

What a gorgeous weekend!  It should be a rule that Easter weekend always has such perfect weather.

We started our Easter festivities yesterday afternoon, when CC participated in a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt.  She's too young to really "hunt" for eggs, of course, but she enjoyed crawling around and getting lots of attention from the other moms in the neighborhood (all of whom have boys and are envious of our little angel!).

Note: she's wearing the outfit that I wore as a baby for my first Easter!

We have had a quiet but lovely day so far today, starting with Mass early this morning.  Despite arriving before Mass began at 7:30 am, all the pews were packed.  Fortunately one woman gave up her seat so MJ and CC and I could all sit together.  What a saint!  I wouldn't have been able to stand during the entire Mass, and it wouldn't have felt right if our little family was separated.

After Mass we came home and took some pictures.  My mom smocked an adorable Easter dress and bonnet for CC, so we had to capture it (before CC had enough of the bonnet and ripped it off!):

And MJ took this pic of me and CC, which I love:

Here's another favorite pic of CC, playing with some wooden eggs that rattle when shaken (from her godparents, Tom and and Carol -- thank you!).  I think CC looks so pretty here!

After her morning nap, we opened her Easter basket and present from my parents: several adorable outfits, some books, and -- much excitement -- a ball that blinks different colors when it is bounced!

We went to the park, took a nice walk, played on the swings, and tried a new restaurant for lunch.  Later, as has become Morrison family tradition these last few years, MJ made Easter dinner for us all -- trimmings and everything.  We put CC's booster chair right up to the dining room table with us so we could all eat together (and if you look closely, you can see Rory's eyes peering over the table between me and MJ).

All in all, it was a fantastic weekend.  I hope this day celebrating new life was equally joyous for all of you!
