Peanut Butter!
The mother of them all. The one parents live in fear of. The one that we are warned, under threat of dire allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock, to avoid at all costs until age one.
Well, CC wasn't allergic. Whew! I have to admit, as I gave it to her for the first time, I wondered if I should have had an epi-pen handy, just in case. What would I do if she had some horrible reaction?
Also, MJ and I could eat our combined body weight (which, as I near my third trimester with these twins, is not inconsiderable) in peanut butter, and it is always in the house. Thank goodness CC can join in the fun with us now!

Hi There - I've commented on your beautiful blog a couple times before. I'm from the April 2011 group on bbc. Anyway, just a word of warning about allergies. A few weeks ago, I learned the hard way that people do not have an allergic reaction to something the first time they eat it. If they will have an allergy to something, they will be fine the first time they eat it because their body has to create the antibodies to react to it for future ingestions. It's the second time that the reaction can occur. My son has a penicillin allergy. We haven't braved peanut butter yet. Good for you for having the guts to try it!
Take Care,
Mary
