Little Man's gastroenterologist wanted us to get him started on some solids. And if there's one thing that I've learned as a twin mom, it's that there's no sense doing something with one baby and not the other. So Sweet Pea and Little Man have both been having oatmeal as part of their breakfast these last few days.
Neither of them ate very smoothly right out of the gate like CC did. Then again, no baby eats like CC did! They both seemed a bit confused, and let the oatmeal slide out of their mouths and down their chins.
But fast forward a few days, and Little Man has greatly improved. It's still messy, but he basically eats the whole bowl of oatmeal.
Sweet Pea, on the other hand, spends all her energy on her social skills, which means she generally lags behind Little Man physically. She's improved a little bit with the oatmeal -- at least now she opens her mouth instead of clamping it shut! But she still isn't actually ingesting much. But we'll keep plugging away. I'm sure she'll figure it out soon enough!
