I hope you and yours are celebrating a joyous Easter! We are spending the day with my parents, and CC is in her element. So much excitement! Food! Toys! Attention!
The kids are dressed in gorgeous smocked outfits, made lovingly by my mom. There were so many oohs and aahs from people at church. They looked completely adorable, despite the fact that Little Man barely fit into his! (More pictures to come later.)
The only not-so-fun part of the day was getting the kids through a long Mass. Easter Mass already runs long -- closer to 1.5 hours -- and you have to get there at least 30 minutes early if you want a seat. So it was two hours of keeping them quiet and happy. Fortunately there were four adults for the three kids, so we managed. But each of the three of them had their fussy moments, and CC was particularly challenging. I was exhausted when we finally got out!
Otherwise, the day was fun and CC had a blast playing with the toys in her Easter basket (thanks, Memere and Pepere!) and finding the eggs my dad hid in the family room. MJ cooked the ham in his Big Green Egg, and our big Easter feast was delicious.
