Walking Update

Yesterday Little Man really turned a corner in his walking ability.  Yesterday was the day that he started preferring walking to scootching!

He's walking all over the place now, and even walking right past me (and chairs, and walls, etc) without reaching out for support.  He can change direction, stop and start, and turn around.

Pretty much the only time he scootches now is when he falls down in the middle of the floor and doesn't have anything to pull up on (he still can't get into a standing position on his own yet).  Then he'll scootch to the nearest piece of furniture, or nearest person, to get back up on his feet.  I suspect that once he learns how to get into a standing position on his own, he will stop scootching altogether.

Also, in the last few days he's learned how to stand still.  Yes, Little Man is possibly the world's first baby who could walk before he could stand!  When he first started walking last week, he could only stay on his feet if he maintained forward momentum.  The minute he'd stop walking, he'd fall down.  He couldn't stand alone.

He still isn't very good at it, but he can definitely stand still now.  There have been several instances in the last day or so where he's stood for multiple minutes at a time.
