NO BABY GATES!! Yes, our children will now be free to go upstairs or downstairs at will -- the horror. But I realized recently that Little Man and Sweet Pea are extremely good on the stairs, and there's really no reason to have gates anymore.
No more obstacles when I'm trying to bring the laundry upstairs or down. No more tears from kids who've run face-first into open gates. No more screaming from someone who wants to go up or come down, or (god forbid) got stuck in between.
Phase II of baby-item-removal at the Morrison casa is complete. (Phase I was the transition from sippy cups to big-kid cups, which is going well.) Phase III will be potty training ... coming soon to a blog near you!
