Renovation Week 9

It doesn't look like a whole lot was accomplished this week, but it was necessary work: taping all the drywall corners and seams, and smoothing three coats of joint compound into every corner and nail hole. Each coat needs 48 hours to dry, so that took the whole week.

is a large walk-in closet for me to use for storage. Heaven.

Who knew that drywallers wore stilts? It really surprised me at first, but then I realized how much more efficient it is instead of dragging a ladder around.

Now the walls are ready to be sanded smooth, and then paint will go on. Exciting!

All our bedroom and closet doors were ordered this week, too. And I ordered tile for the guest bathroom! That was fun.
