Renovation Week 15

Holding my breath doesn't work, apparently. The carpeting did not arrive last week (although it will arrive this week, I am told).

However, we have power now -- the electricians turned everything on, now that we have switchplates and outlet covers and such. They also installed the sconces in the bathroom.

We also have water. The plumber connected our toilet and shower head, and installed our sink faucets:

The vanity and backsplash were installed, too. The mirrors still need to be put up (the turquoise boxes you see on the bottom right of the picture), and most of the drawers returned to their places after some holes were cut in the back to accommodate the plumbing. But we have a functional bathroom now!

In the above picture, the brown doorway to the right -- through the glass shower walls -- will be the sliding door to the new guest room (CC's current room). Her bed is actually immediately on the other side of that drywall, which is why it's so hard to get her to sleep when work's going on in the bathroom!
