Strawberry Picking

Earlier this week, friends of our invited us to join them at a local farm for strawberry picking. What a wonderful way to spend the only rain-free day we've had in weeks!

CC mainly wanted to hang out with her friends. Little Man just wanted to sprint up and down the rows of strawberry plants. But Sweet Pea was a good picker: diligent about only picking the deep red ones, committed to filling our basket, and happy to be out in the sunshine.

Afterwards we went on a hayride, played at a large kids' play area, toured a fire truck, and enjoyed a picnic lunch. Little Man and CC went down a giant tube slide, and Sweet Pea cheered them on from the bottom. 

We came home with 5.5 pounds of delicious strawberries. It was a great outing, especially since it started raining again the next day!
