Front-Row Seats

One morning this week, the guys showed up to work on the upstairs hallway ceiling, re-configuring one of the air intake vents for the HVAC system. The kids were fascinated -- they actually pulled up a chair to watch.

The workers are so good with the kids. They talk to them every day, show them their tools, explain things, tolerate their endless questions and random comments (CC tells them every day, "I'm four!"), and give them high-fives. The kids know all their names and even their trucks.

I try to keep the kids out of their way -- often out of the house altogether -- but for the times we're all in close quarters together, it's nice to know the guys are so good with the kids!
