Rainy Days

It seems like we've been rained in for months now. Where was all this fine precipitation in the summer, when our poor lawn needed it?

Anyway, we've used up all of our rainy day activities, and then some. On the advice of some fellow moms, I bought several pounds of dry beans, and let the kids have at it with scoops and cups and bowls. It worked like a charm. We got almost an hour of very serious playtime out of it!

Of course, you can probably imagine what the floor looked like afterwards. But at least beans are easily swept up!
