First Day of TK

Sweet Pea and Little Man are in Transitional Kindergarten! (TK  is an extra year of preschool for kids who have summer birthdays.) They couldn't be prouder. CC never did TK, so they're doing something that she's never done. TK students get to have backpacks at school, not tote bags like the little kids. Their room is the green room. And they'll learn Spanish, and have a fun literacy curriculum, and play with Legos ... 

Sweet Pea, to no one's surprise, picked a backpack with rainbow straps and rainbow hearts. Little Man, to no one's surprise, picked a Star Wars backpack. We went to IHOP for breakfast, brought CC to school, then drove to the preschool where MJ and I walked the twins to class.

Afterwards, they told me they had a great day, especially since their friend Mia is in their class. But unfortunately Sweet Pea has had a bad cold the last few days. She told me that the best part of her day "was you coming to pick me up."
