Easter Egg Hunt, Take 2

Yesterday was our second Easter egg hunt of the season! It was hosted by our parish, but unfortunately due to inclement weather, it was moved inside to the gym. But the problem with having an Easter egg hunt in a gym is that there's nowhere to hide eggs! They asked us all to bring big items in advance (strollers, play kitchens, etc) to give them somewhere to hide eggs, but thousands of eggs just ended up being on the floor. So it was less of an Easter egg "hunt" than an Easter egg "free-for-all."

The Easter bunny was there, which freaked Sweet Pea out. CC was the only one who was willing to take a picture with him. It was actually the first time weve ever seen the Easter Bunny in person (although CC decided it must have been someone in a costume, because she could see his sneakers underneath the fuzzy feet).

Afterwards the kids told me it was "the best Easter egg hunt ever" because there were so many eggs. I have to admit, it was the largest egg hunt I've ever been to. The kids came back with more candy than they hauled in at Halloween! Little Man definitely approved.

Unfortunately Daddy wasn't there -- he was in Tampa Bay with Pepere and Uncle Jon, celebrating his 40th birthday with a guys' trip to see Yankees spring training.

They had a blast, too! And happily, Memere came to spend the weekend with us and enjoyed all the festivities.
