By happy coincidence we are at the beach this week. They get to pick all the activities we do today. They get to pick the restaurant for their birthday dinner. And they get a few of their presents (we couldn't fit much extra in the car!).
A big birthday hug for Little Man, who makes us laugh every day. He amazes me with his memory for detail, his musicality, and his affection. He's passionate about everything in his world. Burgers are his favorite food, followed by PB&J, but he despises most vegetables and will eat them painfully slowly. His favorite things right now are Ninjago (Lego) related. He's extremely social, loud as all get-out, and a natural rule-follower like you've never seen before.
A big birthday kiss for Sweet Pea, our quiet hurricane who will change the world. She's the most independent, determined little thing I've ever encountered. She does everything she sets her mind to -- and she sets her goals high. She says, "Darn it!" about 100 times a day (with a smile), and literally her favorite word is literally. She's mischievous, smart as a whip, and a tiny force of nature.
Happy birthday to both of you! We love you to the moon and back!
