I've been wanting to rent a boat for the day for years, and we finally we did it! We went with Linda's family last weekend, and we all had a blast (and agreed to do it annually -- and for more hours!)
The boat came with a tube for towing behind us. When the kids were on it, they weren't heavy or strong enough to keep the front of the tube from going under the water, so they had to be towed slowly. But when an adult was on it, we could really fly! Unfortunately CC was the only one of our kids who was willing to go fast with me or MJ. It surprised me that Sweet Pea didn't want to, after how much she loved the roller coaster last week! Maybe she's not such an adrenaline junkie after all.
We lucked out with the weather -- cloudy and warm, but not too hot. The sun peeked out occasionally, but I'd rather have clouds in the summertime when outside for the day!
